As a club Patron I am proud to announce that Milestone Space Explorations and Robotics Club has been awarded a one in a life time opportunity to Join Tynawald High School in their tour to USA, to showcase their talent.

The tour is penciled for 27 July to 6 August 2023. The Trip will see students visiting

·                                            Research Hubs in North Carolina

·                                                                          Amazon Robotics Fulfillment Center

·                                                                          NASA Space Stations

·                                                                          University of Maryland Robotics Center

The program will see students going through coding lectures, career talks and visits to factories to see practical applications of Robotics, Machine Learning and artificial Intelligence.

What is Amazon Robotic Fulfilment Centres?

Amazon Robotic Fulfilment Centres (ARFC) are automated storage and retrieval systems used by Amazon to fulfil customer orders. They are large warehouses that use robots to move and store items, and to pick and pack orders for shipment. The robots work alongside human workers to efficiently and quickly fulfil customer orders.

ARFCs aim to reduce the time and costs associated with traditional manual fulfilment processes and to increase order accuracy and speed of delivery.

What is NASA?

NASA studies Earth, including its climate, our Sun, and our solar system and beyond. We conduct research, testing, and development to advance aeronautics, including electric propulsion and supersonic flight. We develop and fund space technologies that will enable future exploration and benefit life on Earth.

NASA also leads a Moon to Mars exploration approach, which includes working with U.S. industry, international partners, and academia to develop new technology, and send science research and soon humans to explore the Moon on Artemis missions that will help prepare for human exploration of the Red Planet. In addition to those major missions, the agency shares what it learns so that its information can make life better for people worldwide

Tawananyasha Hudla

I am going to America with my peers for an educational tour, I will be representing Milestone College Space Exploration and Robotics Club. During the tour I will be learning more about using robots in industry and other electronic equipment. Sagotora Tanatswa Form 4

I want to go to USA to gain exposure on the new technology that is being developed. When I come back I want to educate my school club on the possible ways we can develop new technology. I am passionate about robotics, and I want to see and learn about how people are using it in the first world countries. Makatendeka Dzvene form 4

I am marveled and privileged to be part of this trip; I am very excited to be learning more about Physics and robotics in a bigger and more developed country. Space Exploration, Robotics and Physics are very interesting and I am keen to know more about the three. I am expecting to see bigger and equipped laboratories in the USA. Victoria Mandingwa Form 6.

Hello everyone. I am very excited about the USA tour, growing up I found robotic toys very fascinating such that I had a collection of toys that I would dismantle and rebuild just for the fun of it, and I had great passion in them. I was inspired on how America robotic world is growing day by day, so when I heard about the tour I could not resist. This tour is an opportunity to learn what robotics is all about.
